Euro Hockey League returns to Eindhoven
The 2026 Euro Hockey League returns to Eindhoven this weekend, with HC Oranje-Rood hosting EHL ROUND1. The competition returns to the city after a seven-year break, with 12 of Europe's leading clubs
battling across three days of elite hockey.
The tournament brings together clubs from the Netherlands, England, Spain, Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland, Scotland, Czechia, Austria and Switzerland, making Eindhoven the centre of European club hockey for the weekend.
Y1 athletes to watch:
Joep de Mol will lead hosts HC Oranje-Rood as captain. The Dutch international faces Real Club de Polo on Friday evening before Oranje-Rood close their ROUND1 campaign against Wimbledon HC on Sunday.
Sam Hooper, GB and England international and captain of Wimbledon HC, will also be in action. Wimbledon meet Real Club de Polo on Saturday before facing Oranje-Rood in Sunday's final match.
With a number of Y1-sponsored athletes competing across the tournament, EHL ROUND1 is another opportunity to see the Y1 athlete community performing on one of European hockey's biggest stages.

The final match of the Eindhoven weekend sees Joep de Mol's Oranje-Rood take on Sam Hooper's Wimbledon. With both sides looking to progress, it promises to be a fitting finale to three days of European hockey.
